I guess I won't be needed this weekend after all at work. Though the money sounded good and would help me with a few ideas I'm playing with, the time was hardly conveniant. And I didn't have to say no either. I just asked for a schedual before I commited and they found they didn't need me. So I'm hoping that means they feel they can keep asking me in the future.
I've sort of made a habit of not refusing any resonable request for help. It tends to ope doorways.
So I've got a bit more time I can use for my tasks. and boy am I going to use it as much as possable. I'm going to settle in for some serious binge writing over the three days off. I figure that I can roughly script five pages of graphic novel in about an hour. So if I sit my but down for five hours minimum per day for all three days I should get myself into a good place.
I've already given two of my shorts stories a good edit and with a tad more touch up they are going to head off to a voluteer reader, who has been very supportive thus far. Once they get the read through and feedback they go through a final fix up and then I hope to send two off to a publisher or two. One might go to a fellow who expressed intrest in them as part of some experimental phase of gameproduction/ publishing company he created.
I've a few more stories I'll be editing in the next few days too. To likewise send off.
I'm on target with "Goober nice to meep you" over at drunkduck.com and making progress with the other style of comic. That one I'm thinking I will stick to a once weekly style comic and by the end of next month I should have sufficiant buffer that I can start posting them to the web.
I'm tending my blogs nicely and while I've not done much with my scripting thus far I hope to make serious inroads this weekend and next. With continued work during the week I hope to pull off a bit of impressive script creation.
For breaks during writing I thought I might transcribe a hand written story or two that is really just meant for web posting, and then maybe I'd write the second part to my runcible Superhero story. As those are tending to run about 7000 words without the trick of script formatting it will be a nice break and only cost me about five or six hours total time by the end of the month.
So I'm in a hopeful place as far as that all goes. We'll see how hopeful I am come the finishing line, on the last day of april.
Take Care Of Yourselves,
Roving Jack.
