Very special one too. For on the 21 the we celebrate the winter solstice, but also at 1:30 est in the morning on tuesday we can observe a full lunar eclipse beginning.
Totality begins at around 2:30 am est.
It's supposedly the first time the two things have occured on the same day since 1638.
we'll be exactly between the sun and the moon, when we are between the end of one year and the start of another, and between fall and the coldest part of the winter. Between the time of shortening daylight and lengthening daylight.
The moon will go from full to waneing, to 'dark', to waxing to full all in the same day where some folk celebrate the oak king overcoming the holly king.
It also marks the day when the sun and thus the length of days make their returns.
There are a lot of betweens coming, and once we cross those threshhold it marks changeing from one to the other for a lot of things.
I'm going to be quite busy on this night.
Take care of yourselves.
