something silly

Today I became aware of a new offical policy at the kitchen where I work. It's nothing important really but it's one of those things that is tweaking me out just a bit.

Okay, we have three differant sized bowls to use.
large
medium
small
in those colors respectively.

While it's a minor annoyance that fourty eight percent of these bussiness and education majors invariably ask for a small bowl and upon seeing me pick up a small say "No, not that one. A Yellow bowl." ( three bowls designated large medium and small when offered to you, even gesture at each in turn, and you cannot figure out that the median size, the one in the middle, would be medium ). That really baffles me but the new bit really trips me up.


small has officially been and is now listed on the website and menu as and orange bowl. orange? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I'd say it's more of a salmon, or coral color, I'd accept the designation of pink or red even but orange?

It doesn't sound like much until you are standing there and somebody asks you for an orange bowl and you look down and see
large
medium
small

my brain sends back the reply: "Syntax error, no orange bowl found. resubmit request within the parameters assigned."

If the silly wags try to call blue
white
orange
I'm going to go silly crazy.

Sometimes it's nice to have the problems in my life be simple stupid stuff.

I'm so excited

For some time I've been seeing somebody who is a very important part of my life, and though we've had our rocky periods, we are really good for each other. I've grown by leaps and bounds because of this relationship and I just can't keep it to myself anymore.

So I'm announcing to the world that I'm engaged to be married to the most wonderful person in the world. His name is ... April fools.

Yeah sorta lame, and fairly predictable, but I'm smiling and laughing right now.

Any I have some things of interest to post about but I should wait until this day is over so people will not have to guess if I'm being serious or not... well any more than usual that is.
